Torrens Road to River Torrens Extension Project
SCOPE OF WORK
CME Civil were awarded several packages as part of the T2T Extension Projects:
Lowered motorway works – Construction of new pressure fire main in lowered motorway including valve assemblies etc. (approx. 5000m of 100/150mm dia. PVC-M PN16 pressure pipe) and construction of all stormwater drainage and subsoil drains in the new lowered motorway road section.
Water main connections / relocations – including tie ins to & decommissioning existing main under weekend and night shut down conditions. Works involved co-ordination with SA Water personnel to ensure minimal interruption to critical infrastructure in major south road carriageway.
Trunk and Branch Sewer Construction works – The construction of various SA Water sewer works infrastructure between Scotia St and Pym St – Large diameter trunk gravity sewer (525/600mm) mains, network of manholes plus all connections and link-in / cutover works into existing infrastructure under high flow conditions.
Sewer Packages 2 & 3 – consisted of the construction of two SA Water spec wastewater pump station (DN1800 & DN2200 precast chambers installed at approx. 8m deep each) on the corner of Grange & South Road and the corner of Robert St & South Road including all associated gravity and pumping mains including all connections and tie ins (approx. 1800m of Pipelaying – 100,150,225 & 300mm PVC).
